Limitations you should expect up front: Viewrail does not design primary structure; load bearing capacity notes for posts and stair connections assume substrates that meet the project engineer’s criteria. Coastal salt spray can still stain improperly drained assemblies even with 316 stainless if weep paths are blocked. Service life expectancy on the 25-year limited structural warranty requires installation and re-tension checks per published Viewrail instructions.
